Are INFJ’s Able To Survive Narcissistic Abuse Or Are They More Apt To Be Forever Wounded?
I’m an INFJ who survived narcissistic abuse.
I personally think being an INFJ is one of the reasons I’ve been able to heal from being deeply wounded.
Not just heal, but thrive!!
People sometimes mistake our sensitive natures for weakness.
That’s a mistake itself.
INFJ’s are anything but weak.
I’ve always been able to adapt to difficult situations.
And I’ve faced my share of hard times.
Nothing compared to the suffering I endured at the hands of narcissists, though.
The abuse itself was bad enough.
Having someone repeatedly attempt to murder my soul, and cause me to question my own sanity was horrific.
Then learning to heal from something that’s extremely difficult to understand was no walk in the park.
I’ll admit there were plenty of dark days.
Many times I wondered if I’d ever get over the damage that was done to my spirit and soul.
It took lots of prayers, self-reflection, and stubborn determination.
Along with insight unique to INFJ ‘s, to bring me from the pits of hell.
In the aftermath of narcissistic abuse, I’m at a very good place.
I’m able to use what I learned about myself, narcissistic abuse, and life in general, to help others.
People who are facing what I already survived can benefit from my experiences.
Being gifted in writing, and having a strong desire to help others, are traits I’m blessed with because of my personality type.
Surviving narcissistic abuse helped me learn to use those gifts in a productive way.
It’s a win-win situation.
Not a wound that will never heal.
